Paige Klingner - After the Youth Science School

Paige has spoken to us on two previous occasions and is an outstanding speaker and exceptional young person whom we sponsored to the National Youth Science Forum last year.

Paige was selected to represent Australia at the International Science Summer School in Germany.  This was an intensive four week programme held last July and is probably the most prestigious youth science programme in the world.  I am proud to say that our club assisted Paige to attend this event.

I invite you to consider inviting a guest or guests to this meeting.  It is a great opportunity to promote our Youth Programmes and to connect with the Education Sector and the wider community, Brian Burt

HOW CAN YOU AS A ROTARIAN AND AS PART OF OUR ROTARY FAMILY MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THE WAR AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE?

The Rotary Club of Mosman, NSW is taking a leadership role in the community through its Climate Control project, which is aimed at reducing individual personal carbon footprint.

Local member, Surinder Kumar Jain says that by making some very simple changes in your life you can reduce carbon emissions and help save the earth for future generations. Our climate is changing but by making simple changes in your life you can make a difference. There a many causes and many solutions. There are ways Governments , industry etc. should change their ways but on a personal level you can personally do your bit for future generations. The project asks ordinary citizens to voluntarily make small but easy changes in their lives in order to reduce their own carbon footprint. The Club has devised a list of suggested changes that allows you to see how much difference you are making to the environment,  where you can reduce carbon input, and how simple it can be.
