Meeting 3030 July 13th Handover

The venue at Nixons Function Centre had been delightfully prepared for the occasion by Grace Barilla, Brian Burt, Michael Jacob and President-elect Mark Smeaton, who later impressed by greeting arrivals at the door in his Smeaton tartan kilt attire.
Chairman for the evening  PP Brian Burt announced the start of the function and outgoing President Steve opened the meeting by welcoming DG9510 David Jones and wife Lyn, and the many guests including those by Zoom video, namely Emily Smeaton serving with the RAAF in the middle East, recent exchange student Sara Di Lauro home again in Italy and Inter-state escapee Vanessa Thorne daughter of Michael and Sandra Jacob.
Sgt-at-arms Barry imposed his round-up of Bunyip fines and related the many consequences of growing old.
Charter Member of 66 years Dr Bruce Eastick proposed the toast to Australia and DG David responded.
Outgoing President Steve reported on his year in office, and awarded Paul Harris Fellowships to worthy recipients: Colin Bazeley, Brian Burt, Chris Edmunds, Dave Griffiths, Michael Jacob, Ron Lloyd and Robert K. Potger.
DG David then inducted Mark as President for the new Rotary year. Mark responded and concluded by presenting Immediate PP Steve with a PH award. Past member PP Jacqui Atyeo received a certificate of appreciation for her service whilst in the club.
The evening witnessed warm and friendly fellowship being enjoyed by all present.
