President Kathy opened meeting 3150 and asked members to ensure they were sitting in committees this evening so they could start meetings over dinner. Kathy then called for members to take their spots.
  • PP Brian Burt Brian reminded members that on the 10th March there is a function at the Adelaide Oval for Rotary Foundation. He urged everyone to attend this prestigious event to hear Chair of the Trustees of The Rotary Foundation, Past World President Ian Riseley AM. And Hon Reggie Martin MLC - Importance of Social Philanthropy. They will be exploring how partnering with the Rotary Foundation Australia can exponentially increase one’s ability to make a difference. Guests will receive a light meal and a drink on arrival.
After a short break pp Barry presented his usual sergeants session. Winners of the chocolate this week were Dr Bruce Eastick and Geoff Benier.
Barry asked mark Forgie to tell Rotarians about his annual fundraiser . Mark explained that each year they have an annual fundraiser and they provide all the food and drinks so the money guests pay for tickets is essentially a donation to the beneficiary. This year all money raised went to Children’s Mental Health. This was a massive $10,000. Rotarians congratulated Mark on his wonderful ongoing support to these fabulous and important causes.
President Kathy then closed meeting 3150 and invited committees to continue their meetings over dessert.
