Club News

Patsy has been in contact with Jasmin Taylor (former Indigenous Health Scholar sponsored by our Club). Jasmin advised that as at 3rd June the RAH had not had any COVID-19 patients for a few weeks and also sent a big thank you for the safety glasses donated by our Club.
 
An application by Nikita Page to attend the National Science Forum has been endorsed by the Club. Nikita is an excellent candidate for this program and we wish her every success with her application.
 
The Plaque for the Best Bulletin was delivered to President Steve Barilla during the week
 
An Acknowledgement of a donation to The Rotary Foundation was received.  This year our club and its' members have contributed ~A$550o to the Annual Fund and ~A$3900 to End Polio.

Weekly eConnections with DG Jane

Guests for this week’s eConnections on Monday night 15th June will be Trudy Grice and Andrew Best from Rotary International South Pacific & Philippines Office, in Parramatta.
 
Trudy is the Coordinator, for Club and District Support and a very busy person as the first point of contact for Rotarians in Australia, PNG and Timor-Leste, Trudy assists with any matter in relation to club or district administration.
 
Andrew Best as the Supervisor of the Club & District Support team provides direct support to Rotarians, Clubs, Districts, District and Regional Leaders on all things Rotary; including RI policy, governance, training, disputes, MyRotary and branding.
 
It's going to be a very interesting presentation on “How Covid-19 is impacting Rotary”, with regular activities and how Rotarians are responding in terms of connection and service activities.  They will also feature what Rotary International is doing to support clubs during this time and they will include a promo for the 2020 Rotary Virtual Convention.
