President Kathy opened meeting 3146 and welcomed Casey and Michele to the meeting. Kathy reminded members that tonight was committee meetings so there would be no guest speaker. Kathy then asked directors and members to come forward for their spots.
PP Steve Barilla- Thanked everyone for their participation in the Australia day breakfast. There was a bit of miscommunication about the actual running of the event and publicity but the food was ready and plentiful when the Public started arriving and ended up with a steady flow.
Remember the air show weekend we are all needed. A short discussion was had around food etc but we are locked in for Steak sandwiches and hot dogs plus drinks -LOTS of drinks.
President Kathy then asked Casey and Beth to come forward and inducted Casey as an official Friend of Rotary. Kathy gave a short explanation of what that means and then congratulated Casey and welcomed her to The Rotary Club of Gawler.
A short break was had during our main course before Sergeant Barry presented his session. Wheel winners were Shawn Lock (who drew himself out) and Trish Williams. Both won chocolates.
President Kathy thanked everyone for attending and informed us that next weeks guest speaker is a surprise! she congratulated Casey once again then closed meeting 3146 and everyone adjourned to their relevant committees where dessert was served.
Following Committees the monthly board meeting was held.
