PP Mark Smeaton opened meeting 3145 and welcomed Guest Michele Nys.
He thanked members for attending last week’s meeting at the Bowling club and said everyone had a great time and enjoyed the social event and the hospitality of the Bowling Club members. He then called for spots from members and directors.
PP Steve Barilla asked for volunteers for the Australia Day breakfast in Apex Park. Bring along your apron and wear club shirts if possible we are participating with the combined Service clubs of Gawler area.
Last week Kathy and Steve attended a meeting with Barossa Air Show committee. The Air show will be held on Sunday 16th April and everyone will be required to help. This will be a 6am start and they are expecting big numbers.
Steve also asked members to vote on whether we would like to bring the BIG wheel back each week -members voted yes.
PP Brian Burt attended a d meeting this morning and it was lovely to hear such positive comments about the Rotary Club of Gawler.
He also reiterated how proud he is of the club himself and gave an interesting fact - Swindon in the UK had 6 clubs with 400 Rotarians in 1988; in 2023 they have 1 club and 20 members but feel fortunate if they have attendance of 5 to a meeting.

PP Mark then invited guests to enjoy early dinner and fellowship so we could move to The Mould Doctor premises for a vocational visit.
Sergeant Barry provided entertainment as usual with his run down of the week according to Facebook funnies. Wheel winners were Ron who chose a Sportspower Voucher and Steve won a For ever Lea voucher after it was redrawn due to Barry winning and passing it in to be redrawn since he donated it.
PP Mark reminded everyone that next week is committee and Board meetings before  closing meeting 3145 and members and guest travelled to Willaston.
Vocational Visit Mould Doctor Willaston
PP Barry welcomed everyone and gave a brief history of the company and invited everyone to inspect the equipment and premises.
