Meeting Report - Zoom Meeting #10, 29 June 2020

Meeting opened by Chair President Steve Barilla

Sergeant Brian brought to order and read the acknowledgment of Country

Steve proposed the toast to Australia, her people & The Queen. 

Steve opened Zoom meeting 10 and welcomed guests Karen Redman, John Ward, and Sara Di Lauro.

Apologies were received from:  Alan Harris & Trish Williams, Julie Tekell, Colin Bazeley, and Mark Smeaton.

 

Rotary Spots

David Griffith as director of youth services, thanked his committee Patsy Johnson, Angela Moore, Trish Williams, Alan Harris and Lance Hatcher for all their help and support in what has been a very different and challenging rotary year. 

Brian Burn mentioned that restrictions have been lifted for groups and we can have more than 75 at the club changeover

 

Sargent Session 

Brian did a Bunyip round-up and Mayor Karen Redman provided an extensive update on what the council has been doing in recent months including support for the Bunyip and infrastructure programs around the town.

President Steve’s Spot

Steve thanked Sara for being such a wonderful exchange student and the club gave Sara its best wishes for the future and safe travels back to Italy.

Bob Ahrens and several other members thanked Steve for his work & leadership over the past 12 months, especially during the COVID Pandemic.
