Welcome to our new monthly bulletin.

During August -Membership and New Club Development Month- we have had some wonderful and informative guest speakers.

  • Teagan Carpenter Vintage Chef Co – Tegan’s Story
  • Ian Curtis Chicken Farming
  • Peter Smith Gawler Community Retirement Homes
  •

We have enjoyed a weekend providing safe parking cars for visitors to the Gawler show as well as our monthly committee and board meetings.

We also had a wonderful evening putting our new BBQ trailer through its paces, feeding everyone at our meeting night. Everyone agreed that it is going to be a head turner at events and help streamline our processes.

Attendance has fluctuated due to weather as well as illness but on the whole we are showing steady numbers for our guest speakers. Membership is also steady although we would like to see an increase.

Next month the guest speakers booked in For Basic Education and Literacy Month are:

Sept 1 Mark Carter Regency Park Rotary - Cambodian Building Project

Sept 8 Angela Moore-Auslan

Sept 15 Lance Hatcher- The Hatcher Family Migration to South Australia

TUES Sept 16th GAWLER LIGHT -Traffic Management course (this is in addition to usual meetings.

Sept 22 Amanda North History of Wintulichs

Sept 29 No Guest Speaker- Committees & Board / Club Assembly

Remember while we welcome guests to every meeting sometimes plans change so if there is something that interests you please feel free to get in contact to confirm the speaker is still attending and we can also let you know about meal options.

Beside our regular meeting September is also a busy month for service opportunities.
