Chair for the evening was PP Ron Lloyd who opened meeting 3215 and welcomed Rotarians to the meeting
Apologies for the evening were received from: Deb Williams, Julie Tekell, Kim Potger, Ian Sanders, Leanne Clinch, Margaret Leversedge, John Lyons, Chris Edmonds, Patsy Johnson, Mark Smeaton.
 
Ron then invited members with information to come forward.
PE Kyle –

  • As we increase our presence on Social media please let Kyle know if you do not agree to having your photo published.

  • Brenton Hill’s has Cancer, please keep him and the family in your thoughts.

  • Club Runner event registration is working- He has send out a new email to help people who could not access last week If you get stuck reach out for the help.  
Pres Anthony
  • Attended Salisbury Rotary with Kathy and enjoyed working with other groups. Had a meeting with “G7” [Rotary group 7] on Sunday at Café Nova to work out how we will work as a group. First step will be to have a Facebook Page with all groups. The expectation is every group posts something each week.
PP Steve
  • Welcome back Tom from his travels.
  • Still needs a couple of volunteers for show car parking.
 Bob Hinderwell
  • Was going through some documents and found interesting newspaper article. Bob read parts out and asked everyone to guess who it was from the clues. After a few guesses Barry Stewart was correctly identified.
Ron then invited everyone to enjoy fellowship until PP Barry Stewart presented his sergeants session.
After conducting the wheel spin PP Barry once again passed the mic around asking members to identify the best and worst of their week.
Most members participated with some notables being:
  • Michael J announcing after 24 years in the office in Gawler he has now packed up and working from home as well as going mobile.
  • Kathy H has lemons for sale (gold coin donation to Rotary) from her mums tree This tree was planted when Kathy was born.
  • Steve B caught the train for the first time in 40 years and found it a very pleasant experience!
  • Tom Kelly Travelled 12,000km in the past 2 months. Good to be back home but has so much more to see.
  • Mike W-Debs Surgery finally has go ahead for surgery tomorrow.
  • Mark F- following up news from a couple of weeks ago that Frank Forgie’s wife was in hospital – she was not doing well but Mark organised 24hr care in her home and she has rallied now that she is in familiar surroundings.
  • Anthony B- Tagging and testing has been completed by Matt Head from Heady Electrical PTY LTD. Matt has become a corporate member of the club and provides the service free of charge.  
Barry’s Facebook funnies followed.
Wheel winners this week were PP Barry, with PP Mike W winning both second and third prizes.
Chair and PP Ron asked Pres Anthony to close the meeting thanked Steve and Shawn from Nixons for collecting and installing the honour board after it was updated; Barry and other helpers from the evening and closed the meeting by  asking members and guests to join him in reciting the 4 Way test.
