Meeting Report
Meeting 3104 was a social meeting at the Gawler Bowling club. after a slow take up the night ended up being a big meeting with many members and guests in attendance. Soon to be member Ian Nys and his wife Michelle brought along a party of 15!. Gawler Bowling club members really deserve a huge thank you not only for providing us with a venue for a fun night but remaining calm and collected when there was a power cut for the evening. They were still able to provide everyone with a delicious meal of Schnitzel and salad and importantly for some people keep the bar open!
After dinner, everyone went outside ready to take to the greens. We were given a quick lesson on how to bowl but the only restriction was we were asked to bowl the bowl from low down not throw it! There was lots of shouting 'We' and 'They' to scorers but the occasional 'us' and 'them' was met with a questionable look and a please explain who you mean. if the amount of laughter was anything to go by it was a very successful evening although I don't think the Gawler Bowls pennant players have anything to worry about!.
